Digitised value chain is about to be launched!

By News

A unique project for developing Scandinavia’s first digital slaughter chain for beef animals is about to be launched. Gotland Grönt Centrum AB has received financing from Leader Gute and in collaboration with AgTech company Hencol, Gotlands Slagteri and interested farmers will develop the first digital slaughter chain.

The project will create a technical infrastructure to tie together the existing systems into a whole that guarantees animal identity digitally, provides better information to the farmer, safer working conditions for cattle farmers, those involved in transport, slaughterhouse employees and veterinaries as well as making better information available to interested customers in the long run.

Many international visitors in our stand at EuroTier

By News

Just back from the world’s largest agricultural fair EuroTier in Hannover. The attention we received was beyond expectations. It was confirmed by many visitors that our autonomous precision weighing is world-leading. Many of the leading international companies in animal production showed a great interest both for our commercial systems and future innovations. We had several exciting meetings as start for Hencol entering international markets.

Extract (translation) of the Swedish Agricultural magazine Jordbruksaktuellt report from the Hencol booth at the EuroTier agriculture fair:

“At Eurotier, the innovation company Hencol presented their concept Connected LiveStock Manager. The system takes its starting point in the fully automatic weighing station that generates precision data for optimized production and better economy. When Jordbruksaktuellt visited Hencol at the end of the fair the atmosphere was almost euphoric in the booth. That so many companies and stakeholders from different parts of the world showed great interest and also proposed concrete business projects directly, was very positively perceived.”

Great progress in Hencol’s EIPagri project Fodder efficiency

The FeedEfficiencyModule (FEM) in Hencol´s Web Services LiveStock Planner will be a new important feature for digital beef production systems that provide automatic feed monitoring in ongoing production.

With AI-based algorithms for small growth imbalances recorded from autonomous weighing, there is now an automated tool for monitoring varied growth due to non-optimal feed or animal health observed by reduced growth or weight loss.

The technical breakthrough to automatically capture small growth changes and weighting deviations promotes the development of animal health-oriented functions for other species and animal productions.
